Dr. Jihad S. Nader is the founder and CEO of HEP.
Over the last three decades he has held numerous senior academic leadership positions in North America and in the UAE. During his long career, Dr. Nader was directly involved in building and implementing outcomes assessment systems and in leading numerous accreditation processes and strategic plan development exercises at various higher education institutions.
Dr. Nader holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Toronto, and an MBA and a BBA (with Distinction) from the American University of Beirut.
Dr. Nader’s academic and professional career includes the following positions:
- Vice Chancellor and CEO at University of Balamand Dubai (2019-2022)
- Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Development (American University in Dubai (AUD), 2017-2019)
- Provost and Chief Academic Officer (AUD, 2004-2017)
- Dean, Executive Programs and Professional Services (AUD, 2002-2004)
- MBA Program Director (AUD, 1999-2006)
- Founding Dean, School of Business Administration (AUD, 1999-2002)
- Professor of Finance (AUD, 1999-2019)
- Senior Credit Officer, Citibank, Beirut and Regional Office in Athens, Greece

Dr. Nader has been active in consulting for numerous academic and training institutions, business firms, professional bodies and government agencies in North America, Europe and the Middle East. He is the recipient of numerous fellowships and awards for academic and research excellence. His research on financial institutions and markets, corporate finance, pension plan design and liability valuation, real estate lease valuation, banking education, and many other finance topics, is published in leading academic and professional journals. Besides having authored two books, he is or has been a member of the editorial boards of several leading refereed journals in the USA and the UK.
